Hi...
I've been an HRTC member for a couple of years now. I joined when I opted to run for the Board of Assessment appeals. It's silly that that's a partisan office, but I suppose somebody's got to foot the bill for advertising the various candidates, so I suppose there's a shred of logic to it.
Since I have my own consulting business in software architecture and development, I decided I could help out a bit by crafting this website. Although the website exists primarily to promote the HRTC and its objectives, I also set out to create a site that would benefit the town as a whole by providing a forum in which to display and discuss current events, both political and otherwise. Although we're just beginning, it's my hope that site will take on a vibrant life of its own and help keep the citizens of Harwinton informed and politically active.
If you stand around complaining about how the government isn't working for you, you've only yourself to blame.
